WhMoving data and running applications in the cloud is the hardest part of a cloud-first strategy. The major cloud vendors’ storage software capabilities do not provide the features that enterprise IT has come to expect. They are often missing basic features like snapshots and automated tiering to less expensive storage. On-premises storage vendors have raced in to fill the void, but their bloated software doesn’t run efficiently in the cloud. Migrating data to the cloud often requires a different solution which the only purpose is to migrate data.
